On Saturday, 10 June 2023, an open day was held at the small hydropower plant Špačkův mlýn II., on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its operation.
The event was attended by more than 300 visitors, and we were delighted to learn that citizens of Soběslav are interested in learning how to generate electricity using natural resources. The entire event went by smoothly, in a beautiful environment of the small island on the river, and the great mood of all participants. Based on the feedback received already at the event, it was a very successful day. The tour of the small hydropower plant were held every hour and was always filled with visitors, who asked inspiring questions. Afterwards, participants were instructed by members of the Water Rescue Service on how to provide first aid, then they could see the FERT racing team’ bikes and talk to the racers. Bouncy castles provided amusement to the children, along with electric little cars provided by E.ON. Everyone was welcome to try refreshments prepared for visitors.
